FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why should I use a GPSQuickClip?
* Can be used with any golf gps and/or laser rangefinder.
* Much simpler to use than the "clamp" type cart mounts currently being marketed and sold.
* Attach and remove from the cart in one second or less.
* Can be used as a permanent or temporary cart mount.
* Virtually indestructible - made of heavy duty pvc with no moving parts that might break, come loose or become inoperable.
* Weighs only 2 ounces and is 3-1/2" long x 1-1/2" wide x 2" deep.
* Easily fits in your pocket or in your golf bag.
* Displays your golf gps screen right in front of you so it can be easily seen.
* No fumbling with a belt clip release tab when you want to take your gps or laser rangefinder on to the course (great for "cart path
only" days!) or to the tee on the par 3's.
What is the secret to the GPSQuickClip?
A 50 pound pull force neodymium magnet (1.4" round x ¼" thick) manufactured for us by Master Magnetics Inc. in Castle Rock, CO securely holds any golf gps or laser rangefinder.
How is my golf gps or laser rangefinder attached to the GPSQuickClip?
Most (if not all) of the most popular golf gps units include a belt clip tab/button attached to the back of the unit. Simply slide your gps into the 1-3/4 inch long "keyhole" slot in the front of the GPSQuickClip.
The most often used laser rangefinders (Nikon, Bushnell, Callaway by Nikon, Leupold) have a ¼" x20 built-in tripod mount screw slot. We include a 5/8" cap screw/belt clip tab if you are using the GPSQuickClip for your rangefinder. Any device that has a belt clip tab (cell phone perhaps?) can be attached to the GPSQuickClip.
What if my gps doesn't have a belt clip tab/button or my laser rangefinder doesn't have a tripod mount screw slot?
We will include a belt clip tab/button along with a 3M VHB removable adhesive disk to attach to your device. The 3M disk holds like crazy and can be removed anytime but only when you want to remove it.
If I managed to break my GPSQuickClip. Now what?
We've extensively tested the GPSQuickClip since early 2008 at many Myrtle Beach, SC, Pawleys Island, SC and Columbia/Baltimore, MD golf courses by more than 50 amateur and professional golfers. Even ran over it numerous times (on purpose) with my truck on my concrete driveway. Haven't had one break yet!
But if you somehow manage to break your GPSQuickClip, simply return the magnet to us (along with the damaged pvc parts so we might be able to see what happened). We'll send you a brand new GPSQuickClip for just the cost of shipping.
What if I don't like the GPSQuickClip?
If you don't love your GPSQuickClip for any reasons and you had purchased it directly from us, simply return it directly to us with a copy of your PayPal invoice. If possible, please include explanation of what it is that you don't like so maybe we can use that information to make it better. We'll immediately refund your full purchase price. Please note however, if you purchased your GPSQuickClip from a golf course pro shop or retail golf store you'll need to contact them and return it according to their return policies.
Will the magnet cause any errors in the calculation of distances on my golf gps display?
There has been no scientific evidence that a magnetic field causes any changes to the global positioning system satellite signals. We've experimented with most every golf gps unit on the market while attached to the GPSQuickClip and then removing the gps unit and walking away from the cart. There is no change in the yardage. Think about this - a moving car has a strong magnetic field throughout the engine compartment due to the ignition system, battery, fuses, computer electronics, etc. Vehicle navigation gps units (both portable and permanent) obviously are not affected by a magnetic field. If they were, they would be worthless in a vehicle. Powered golf carts (both gas and electric) also create a magnetic field. The various golf gps manufacturers would not have been able to be a viable business if their gps units were affected by magnetic field. GPS tracking units, such as those used to track the movements of a car use a magnet to attach the unit to the undercarriage of the car.
